- Juan, como ya sabes, me encantan
- nickson, Bokeh party, really love it !
Lars: love the mushroom shot
Bob: Love the first one
Nickson: fantastic portrait!
Ulff: Moody and nice. I am unsure about the stripe of black at the bottom : my first instinct is to crop it out but on the other hand, it does give some mood and drama to the shot.
Victor: Thanks! #1 and #2 are my favs and am very used to hearing the caption for #1 when I was growing up!
Thank you, Carsten and abhijeeth. It's a mountain in the Elbsandsteingebirge near Dresden. I added the stripe of black at the bottom intentionally (in the original it is brighter), but maybe you're right, abhijeeth, that I've overdone it a bit...
Ulff- Very nice people shot with 21. Did you hold up camera and shoot blind? Second one really worked out great. I like the composition. The one person out of all the people seem to be staring at the camera, which really made the shot. Beautiful capture of a tree, rock in blue light.
Samuli - These shots are taken at Clarence Fahnestock State Park (NY)
Vertical composition of those two forest shots are quite amazing. Detail, sense of height, second one even has the expanse captured beautifully.
Jim - Beautiful series of closeups with 35. Great color and boke
FlyPenFly- Great shot of street musician.
douglas - That first shot is really powerful. It took me a while to see what it was. Very sobering. Contrast of clinical environment and the subject is brilliant. Great work.
Bob - I can't believe you are leaving Europe now. Thank you for the body of work you have been sharing. It feels like I was on a journey with you. Looking forward to see where you go in terms of photography from when you return to the US. Wonderful shots of bicycles as always. First 3 shots, stood out for their different view points.
Juan - First shot works for me. I like the composition. Also love the way how it dissolves to OOF in distance.
Lars - Beautiful tree portraits. Beautiful capture of the moss growing over trunk. Lovely mushroom shot too.
Nickson - Wonderful capture of moment with simple and beautiful composition.
victor - Great set of portraits. FIrst one is the winner for me. Great focus point and composition.
I have just one at the moment but I'll be posting more soon. Something happened with the colors on my latest batch upload to flickr. I think my monitors are out of whack again.
Great portrait, Jim! akul wrote:

Thanks, akul! And good observed: your guess is right, I hold up the camera and shoot blind. Next time I bring a monopod (if I have one until then...) and hold it up, but this worked well, too.
I took also a closer image of the one person staring at the camera, because she looked very photogenic to me:
This wasn't shot with a Zeiss lens, so just for illustrating purposes. The next two are with the ZE 21, first one again with the girl from the first photo.
