Congratulations on your new lens, Lars! Without your great eye and the rendering of this baby, I expect delightful things!
Lars, prosep, akul, dalmas, tanks for your kind words. They are much appreciated!
Thank you for the kind comments, Phillippe, Luka, Lars, Dalmas et al!
Phillippe, your cautious enthusiasm and increasing appreciation of the new 35/1.4 inspired me to order one for me too! I hope I can master it some day.
Luka, great mood on the foggy river! Melbmanu - I see what photography means! The Leaf, pure delight! My respect to all other masters.
I notice you are not only talking "lenses" to each other but "pictures" as well. I find this a strong communicative tool.
Let me show you some of the "Cathedrals and Castles" Down Under:

Lars - Congrats on 50 1.4 I can't wait to see what you do with it.
melbmanu - Very nice color and lovely bokeh
te4o - Wow!! Some incredible images. They are all beautiful, but the first two simply blew me away. Great shots. Also the #4 is quite lovely. Oh, and the very last shot of the second series, Yeah I'd love to try that if I had a backyard. ( living in an apartment bldg) Thanks for sharing.

+1 My words exactly!
BTW, you will enjoy your ZE 35 f:1.4. It is a lot less kinky than has been reported IMHO. And you will really enjoy trying what f:2.0 can do for you. It is certainly fun for me.

bpark42 - Great shots from Mansfield Reformatory. Before Bob went to Europe, he did a great series of urban decay, which I miss greatly. Your shots capture great sense of the space and history and decay. Keep them coming !!
Thanks. I will have to get some more shots up on my flickr account. For now, this is the last shot I have on hand:
Thanks all,
Brandon, I find your "Inspiring Pulpit" magnificent! Good eyes & steady hands!
Some glimpses into my neighbourhood:
Paper Barks [email protected] (here i noticed that on an old 1.6 crop like the 40D there's barely a difference between 2.8, 4 or 5.6 in this focal distance)
I went a bit closer and revived the difference:
These trees' bark is like ripped paper, it flies everywhere.

Banana like plants next to the paper barks: [email protected], 2.5 sec
