I tried Bernie's 100MP today and fell in love. I love the ZF21 but wide angle is just not my thing. On the other hand, I am considering a 21/35/100 trinity from Zeiss... (on D3).

These lenses better make me a shooter as half-good as some people posting on this thread...
Benches beware!
Here comes Paul, and he's loaded for bear!
Congratulations on your new lenses, Paul! And don't complain too hard about being only half as good as some guys here, otherwise some, who are not even half as good as you, might take offence. How do I know that? I am one of them, of course...

I had ZE 21 very briefly, and I let it go foolishly...
I've used ZM35 on M8, and I really liked it...
I can't wait till I try theses lenses on Kodak SLR/c ....

Holy large photographs Batman. Samuli, nice job. Only one question - why?
For print size and pixel peeping... no. I actually use the technique mostly for "simulated large format look", I would love to shoot with 8" x 10" camera with 100mm wide angle which would give excellent results at f/2... 21Mpix would be enough for most photos for me, but sensor size is not. Of course sometimes when 2m (6 feet) wide print is needed panorama technique is more or less only option if there are quality requirements as well. With good panorama head it won't take that long to shoot the image, and with modern software and powerful computer it will also be quite quick to post process.
Joakin liked the #3 (B&W) on previous page, but why to add noise to sky? On this page the 1st one is great as it's simplicity, thou I understand your disappointment, the location would have been pretty good for sunset image.
Ronnie, the #3 (B&W barbwire fence) gives nice buzzle for viewer (where the distant scene disappears?)

Carl Zeiss Makro-Planar T* 2/50 @ f/10, HDR, ISO 100:
Samuli, I used a preset in Nik Silver Efex Pro and didn't notice the amount of noise until after I posted it. I'm going to print that one so I'll do a new and more careful conversion because as you say it is to much noise/grain.
And for the sunset, I already have a really good one that I showed on page 139 so I'm not that disappointed.

I know, I have all the time same problem when I convert to B&W. Many times I cannot get enough "punch" to image without the noise appearing there, and the noise ruins it and I end up using photo just as color image.

I would have preferred your composition on this page with page 139 sunset

Nice HDR, and with a very natural look, by the way Samuli, I really need to spend some time with HDR because right now I suck at it.
Thanks, I'm not so sure about natural look - thou it was cloudy morning the real life version appeared more fresh and vivid than this one, this one looks somehow heavy - and I spent quite a lot of time adjusting it, I don't think I can make it better. I would prefer much more to have shooting conditions not needing HDR every damn time, bad luck or something has caused last few months it to be rainy/thick clouds almost every time when I have had opportunity to photograph.
Micha, I liked the 2nd flower/landscape photo.

Great shots all!!!!!
As Paul said, only if I could get as half good as you guys... I wouldn't be so hesitant to post shots here. BUT!!, here are some bokeh test shots of my son few weeks ago.
All shot with 100 wide open.
Posted these in the Nikon forum, but this is the first time I've checked out this thread. Apparently I need to check it out more regularly. Some phenominal landscapes. Took a couple of my young nephew tonight with the 100mm f/2 Makro-Planar on a D700. Certainly nothing other-worldly like some of these great landscapes, but IMHO proof positive the 100 is perfect for candid portraits too...
