It seems the Otus lens has thicker DOF than otheresle.
Same feeling you get or is just specific imagination I feel it.
Anyone has tried to shoot same focal length 28/55/85mm in F/1.4 and make appropriate comparison to other lenses in F/1.8 wide open?
Thanks!
I felt that Otus lenses, particularly the 55mm and 85mm, have more smooth transition, rather than dramatic drop off, of out of focus highlights/areas. I wouldn't say they have "more" or "thicker" DOF than others.

Loving your Otus images! Which camera body are you using with them?
Don, thank you for your kind wards. There were taken with Nikon D810 at ISO 64. I find the D810 at low ISO has excellent dynamic range to take full advance of Otus lenses.
I too love the D810 for it's sublime sensor, but the D4S has even better color. Eagerly awating the D6 to drop so I can pick up a refurbished D4S or D5 which has yet better color and dynamic range. A7Sm2 in the same rich sensor group.
Love that image with the flowers, such rich yet true colors, at 14 bit no less. Thanks for all those otus + nikon shots.

Wow that D4S + Otus85. Just spectacular.

@AndereObjektiv, thank you so much. I, too, really like D4s' sensor in low light performance and color, even with its low resolutions at 16MP.

OK. Thank you for your answer. We all enjoy it in many ways.
Some photos from O55@F/1.4 to entertain you.
