ZF.2 25/2.8 classic. This lens and Z6 make a nice and small setup. Focusing is easier with MILC, for sure, and IBIS makes it easy to blur people out to give some movement.
Not an easy question to answer, because I have and love all of them (Zeiss Z's) in more than one copiy..
They are all magnificent lenses,but...
If I had been pushed to the wall within your specs,It would have been:
ZE/ZF Distagon 25/2.0 - slightly heavier than than the classic ZE/ZF 25/2.8,but also contrastier, faster and sharper at around f2-f4
ZF/ZE 35/2 - the 35/1.4 is a great lens,but rather heavy
ZE/ZF 50/2 Macro Planar for it's sheer versatility - soft corners up untill f8 considered - ZE/ZF 50/1.4 Planar is better as far as IQ at infinity is concerned plus being faster, yet it does nor close down to 1:2 RR
ZE/ZF 85/1.4 Planar - a great lens within it's (very few) limitations.

That one caught my attention.
I got the 135mm Apo Sonnar a few months back, and love it. I'd like at least one more Zeiss prime, and the Zeiss Distagon 25mm 2.0 is the lens I narrowed attention too after scouring various reviews. It would be either that or Canon's 24mm 1.4 ii L, but I'm leaning for the Zeiss since I think I can manually focus 25mm even at weddings for a few photos, with the aid of the EOS R.
I've spotted a couple of the Zeiss 25mm 2.0 on Ebay for $400, but held back, looking for another decent deal with a hood too. The hoods are very expensive for an original.

I almost neve use hoods trying to take pictures in conditions that dose not require them.Besides - all Zs have very good coatings,so flare is not a frequent problem.
As for the Apo Sonnar 135/2 - this is optically and mechanically one of the best lenses out of a few thousands that I have/use to have.Good next step after 85/1.4.
And superb Makro Planar 100/2 with a bit too much CA at 2.0 and f2.8 - besides flawless.
I think that (almost) the entire series is an amazing group of lenses.
The only lens that I was a bit ambivalent about was the 18mm. A good but not great lens; at least not compared to the 15 or the 21 when it came to landscapes. It lagged a bit behind the others even when first introduced. Today it just can't keep up with hi-res sensors. Still a fun lens for non-landscapes.
(I tried two copies)
There are definitely technically improved MF lenses out there (They new CVs for example) but this series will always remain very compelling.
Now that they are discontinued and the new-old-stock lenses are drying up I wouldn't be surprised to see the values begin to climb.....

I totally agree -- I am keeping the 25/2 and 35/2 in ZE Canon mount (or ZF.2, if I had Nikon). At least for now that is -- hoping Canon comes out with a higher MP R body at a reasonable price, otherwise I can use on my 5DsR or 1Ds3.
