Yor right Dan it did all those things , but I shoot mostly on a tripod and going back and forth changing hardware , looking looking like a dork ,and feeling very uncomfortable wasn't worth the trouble

I was going to try it but I wanted to use it on each hip and he would not sell the side clip alone at the time. By the time he gave in to all the people asking I had already bought the Double R strap. I love that it works great. I think if you were doing something like Skiing or some kind of running this would not flop around and be more secure.

I am running one. Happy with it. Does best with my D300 without the grip on it, the grip adds a bit of torque which still gives me the willy's. Running it with a fanny pack has worked well.

I have one, wear it underneath my outer jacket (opened obviously) in the cold weather. I'm not worried about it being warm in the summer (you want warm? try Level IIIa body armor in the summer). I find it enormously reassuring to be able to move about crowded streets without worrying about my gear being inadvertently banged around. I can load my D700 and 80-200 f2.8 on it, reach down w/o difficulty, move through doorways w/ impunity walk, jog, run my Golden Retriever, and still have my gear available to me when I want it. It does grab looks from passersby, one police officer who, from a distance, was clearly intrigued by what I was carrying . I do NOT, nor will I, ride my road bike with it on, nor will I do trail running with it. Backpacking looks like a good to go option. YMMV. (I'm not on Andy Cotton's payroll BTW).

Thanks Tony!! Yes I disregarded (no disrespect to the responder)the comment about being warm. I was from the Vietnam era (1967-1969),2 back-2-back combat tours, and my "flack jacket" weighed 35lbs plus pack, bandolears and extras.... so warm 100F heat and 100% humidity? They dont know warm! But the posters comments were appreciated.
Security is what I need and the freedom not to worry about cameras and lenses falling of the chest or hip holster.
I appreciate your response and humor!!

Hey Dan,
First, I thank you, sir, for your service and your sacrifice! You encountered more "heat" than just temperature, and you and your loved ones are deserving of all of our thanks. Glad I was able to help out a bit with Andy's gear.
Please accept a "Semper Fi" from an old, old Marine.

Dan, I do not have one and haven't used one. However, a buddy of mine got one toward the end of the Big 12 football season and I had the chance to talk with him at length about how he liked it. For shooting football, he raved about how nice it was to be able to carry a second body with a 70-200 in the Cotton Carrier rather than hanging it over his shoulder. I plan on picking one up before the 2010 football season.

Thanks Scott! I shoot local football games also. My main use would be the N&W shoots I go to and I bring at least 2 bodies with an assortment of lenses.
Thanks!
