I really like to see these "favorites" type of threads but when different genres are mixed together who has the time to wade through the non-wedding ones to get to the wedding pics?
A page full of photos takes a while to load and when it finally does you realize half the shots are non-wedding.

Thanks guys. I did that because at first there were lots of people who wanted to post but were saying that they hadn't shot anything wedding related that month. So that's where I was coming from...
Regardless, I'm not going to be putting together the monthly threads anymore, so if someone else wants to, with some new rules, knock yourself out!

Seven months of such threads and you guys haven't got it by now?
An observation? Turns out everyone else here already got it.
Not wanting to be mean but get over it, the majority are clearly are not fussed.
With just 6 pages I would say the majority are not "fussed", they are just not participating.
A Sergio thread regularly gets 6 pages and routine discussions frequently half of that participation ... so for a "Best of 2009" thread to have just 100 posts is showing many are probably not bothering to wade through the non wedding pics.
Still, it's a free country .. maybe someone will start a "Best wedding photo of 2009".

Wow. 3 whole pictures on the first page appear to be non-wedding related. I'm so glad you took the time to whine about it to us all. I mean at first, we were all enjoying participating, but thank you for showing us that we shouldn't be happy with it. REVOLUTION!
Hey Tony, I appreciate you doing the "Best Of" threads, and those of us who realize them for what they are, they show us what we are all able to achieve, and give us inspiration to work towards. Thanks man.

Who freaking cares Seriously I think some people on here just bitch for the sake of doing so!
You don't like that some folks choose a non-wedding related image as their favorite~ well you know what~ get the heck out of the post!! Ever think that maybe some folks lives don't revolve around their wedding photography work? If I had to choose a photo of my newborn nephew who is beating the odds by being alive over a couples first dance shot, then you can bet your bottom dollar I am choosing my nephew shot.
I can really see why some great folks are taking a break from this board~ and now I can't blame Tony for saying he won't be doing the best of threads anymore... if this is the crap they are dealing with!
