You may already be aware of these - they are a little high ($200-300) for that lens but there are fewer available every day - two have sold on Ebay over the last few months - $1,350.00 & $1,450.00 usd - I looked for one for about 4-6 months. There were only about 1,500 produced - people are holding on to them to have converted someday or to continue using them for "N" film.
Post a WTB on Conurus and B&S and maybe over at Rangefinder Forum
I would buy them all if it is legitimate but alas, I cannot understand a single word on that ad. So better be safe than sorry. I mean the N400 is already worth more than EU1.8k. How real can that be? Maybe someone can sound them out. Would be good to warn people off if it is really a scam.
mMontag: I am aware of the price of N85+conversion which is why I still have not got one. BTW, the discussion on filters has moved here
There have been a few complaints on the 24-85 - looking at your last image I see nothing to complain about - I have one on the clock at Conurus. It has that lively brighter feel of the 35-70.
mMontag, thanks. no complaints here ... yet lol. i just got mines back last week so ive only taken it out on one occasion so we'll see how it goes as i use it more
What's all the fuss with the negativity on the Zeiss 50/1.4. The MFD and bokeh on that last one sure looks good to me - might have something to do with the touch from the photographer. Nice shot!
maybe an irrelevant question for most but... how does the MF feel on the N lenses compare with C/Y or Z_ lenses? Is it a nice damped, smooth action or more like a Canon lens, plasticky loose feeling? (or somewhere between?)

mMontag,
Since that shot is taken so close the bokeh is going to be super smooth and not a problem. Most of the time the bokeh is nice with this lens but if presented with more difficult bokeh situations like back-lit tree leaves in a relatively close background, then it can struggle some.
Its sharpness performance at MFD wide open is still very decent, just doesn't compare to some other zeiss lenses which are more optimized for that type of shooting, N 85/1.4, 50/2 MP, 100/2 MP, C/Y 35/1.4.
N 50/1.4 is a great walkaround 50mm lens and Andi makes it shine.

At first it is odd because the lens doesnt translate the manual focusing directly into lens helicolid movement, this allows to have more precision, similar to the Contax and Z lenses.
Thanks Andi, but what do you mean specifically by the part I quoted above? Are these lenses "focus by wire" like the 85L?
