I did it! Welcome to our 4th baby, Griffin Jude Mansfield (affectionately called "Fin"). He weighed in at 10 pounds 2 ounces and 22 inches long. Anyone that's friends with me on Facebook is more than welcome to repost the iPhone shot of him. Thank y'all for all the encouragemet through this wedding season. You helped keep me going!!!
UPDATE:
Got to the studio to get some pictures of Fin up for family. Thought I'd add here... one from the day he was born, and one from today (one week old!).

For those who don't remember her posts, Melanie has been shooting weddings (and other stuff, I am sure) up until practically the last minute. She's incredible!
(For the guys, try strapping a 10-plus pound weight around your mid-section and then spend 7-10 hours of intense shooting at a wedding. Oh yeah - then go home with swollen ankles & spend hours at the computer doing the PP work. And don't forget to take care of the other kids, etc!).

Melanie, you are awesome!
10 pound?!?!?! ... are you freggin' kidding me!?!?!?
when my first was born in 2005 I signed up for a "Bootcamp for new dads" class offered by the hospital. It was AWESOME!!! By the time the four hours had passed I was actually ready to do some things to help the wifey out... plus the class was taught by a tough-guy who looked more like a bouncer than anything else... it was nice to have a REAL GUY lead the session rather than some professorial 140lb dude... or worse ... a chick
Anyway... one of the more eye-opening things we did was put on a Pregnant Suit. This was a thing meant to simulate what a woman's body feels like when she's about to pop. We put on the suit and then tried doing mundane things like getting up off a bed, bending down to pick something up.
