Good job catching the sheen on the green head. That's harder to do than many people might realize. The big Manitoba mallards are down to South Dakota now, and I was out in my duck boat yesterday morning. I shot a limit of 5, mostly greenheads. The main flight isn't here yet, but as the lakes to my north continue to freeze the hunting will only get better!
Kent in SD
Kent,
It seems that the migration is a bit behing this year. Thanks for looking in and for your comments,
Larry
Hi Larry..............I like what you have done here buddy. Often I am pursuing the same thing with some of the more common subjects lately just trying to see 'differently'.
I think it is all about the light and the pose that strengthens this type of shooting or like in #3 a combination of that and an extral element, like the water drop
1 I really like the detail and coloring on this one, wish the BG was free of the other one though
2 I like the pose and the low angle and the light
3 for me this is a good strong head shot and love the extra element Neat!
5 I like it, peaceful, soft comforting light and peaceful
I think you did well, I enjoyed your efforts Larry.
