Make the call, it will get fixed. I've had to do it before. But I've bought cards from San Disk for a long time because of the rebates. I upgrade every few years as prices fall. I think I currently have 6 16Gb San Disk's due to rebates. And I'll do the same thing with 32 as prices fall.
If you read the rebate form it says you have to buy from a "Qualified" retailer, in other words if they are not on the list you will not get the rebate, makes no difference if it's a authorized dealer or not. Best Buy is not on the list.
in the past 5 year i have lost only 1 rebate. and that was my fault. 99.9 % of the time the issue is solved by a simple phone call. i keep my records and follow their rules. just recently after 6 calls to epson i have a rebate beig fedex'dto my house tomorrow. i do my best to take no prisoners
With Best Buy being the largest retail electronics dealer in the US, probably the world, and also probably Sandisks biggest distributor, I for the life of me can't see how they can't be authorized....... I too have had trouble with a Sandisk rebate in the past where they claimed they never received the receipt (which they did) and voided the rebate........ These rebate companies are scammers but the companies that use them are just as bad as they let them and maybe even encorage them to be dishonest....... And IMO, Best Buy is usuually NOT your Best Buy.....
I HATE rebates period.... the prices will be there soon enough.. My experience with Transcends has been horrible. Two dead cards already. Best bang for the buck is probably Kingston. Check them out on Newegg or Microcenter (store brand is Kingston).
