On this monitor I see sixteen beautiful bright blue bikes and I'm happy but feel a little foolish at the same time.

Voula... Just get a better monitor

On this monitor I only see 3 beautiful bright blue bikes and 13 purple ones.

Nissanboy,

Thank you very much for all your troubleshooting. After looking at the link that you gave me, it looks like the problem is my monitor. I am using an HP laptop, and I guess the screen is just not up to par. I guess I will just have to invest in a nice desktop monitor, and hopefully that will be the end to the purple problem.

Just check first to ensure that you are using the same colour spaces in all applications. If you are using adobe 1998 rgb in PS with the monitor calibrated to srgb you will find a red hue.
