I'm still waiting for mine to arrive. I just ordered one for my god daughter, she gets lots of awards in school for her art and i've just sent her a 10d so hopefully this will be something she can glean from too.
I'm halfway through it. I really enjoyed the Little Red Riding hood part, especially how the image is built up as you read. Very cool! I'm now into the second part and enjoying that as well.
I do already have a takeaway in that the next time I have a family shoot and am asked what the family should wear I will be suggesting:
1. An overall palette that contrasts well with most of the expected backgrounds
2. Mom and dad wearing very similar colors
3. Children wearing similar colors which are derivatives of Mom/Dad's colors
4. Children wearing punchier colors
I don't know if I will be able to have this level of control but after seeing the Red Riding hood thing I definitelly think it could work well
That said... I'm still interested in an answer on the question that someone else asked in the thread looking for a good book (or DVD) on posing/directing.
