Thanks Karl,
This bird is so good a swimmer that it is not easily intimidated and one can get reasonably close. I was also lying down on the steel walkway beside the boats to get a nice low angle. Glad you liked them buddy!

But These look like young pike to me from the shape of their heads, but I could be wrong!

Some of the colors are reflections off the boats moored nearby but they seemed to go well with the images.
