Pretty freakin cool. Slight cw tilt? Great job w/ the processing...as said above...a film feel to it.

Thanks Aaron. Glad the film look is coming through on this one, I was hoping it would have that look with the processing I did on it. As for the tilt, it had one, but I think I've gotten in pretty well fixed. It looks pretty good right now, but if there is anything else there I'll fix it as I mat the photo and turn it slightly. Thanks for pointing it out though, it made me take a second look.
Great image and capture of the storm.
been stuck in many sorms out there.
Ask me sometime about my 15 mile hike in a snow blizzard in the Needles District someday.
Had nice morning light, but then got hammered big times. Really kinda sucked...
I like this very much, Todd. Better this way with some definition to the snow squalls than with the long exposure version, I think. Only suggestion I have would be to do a little burning around the bottom corners to 'contain' the image, as the brightness down there tends to pull your eye off the bottom of the image.
Very nice light and conditions. It looks soft, not in a bad way but in a softly watercolor way. Unique. False Kiva can be quite dramatic also in a storm, but better safe than sorry.

Dave, thanks for the suggestion. I burned it a little and went back and did a quick levels adjustment to the foreground and it looks much better. Something about seemed a little light, but now it's perfect and part of a book project I'm working on. Something for the family for Christmas.

Craig - Thanks for the comment. It is a little soft in that way, which I think was either due to the storm moving through, or from losing a little bit of sharpness after I ran it through Noise Ninja. The foreground is very sharp, but the back is where it's a little watercolor soft. Glad it still looks okay though.
Yeah, I would have loved to have stayed at False Kiva, but I really felt the need to get a move on. It just felt eery being in that alcove and not knowing what exactly was moving in. As you said, better safe than sorry though.
