Great shots! I don't blame you for keeping the location secret. I'd given up looking for "fall" in AZ...I just sucked it up and went with green stuff (since in AZ you only find green during the winter). Now I'm going to have to start the hunt again. Having grown up in Washinton state, then moving to Utah, then AZ...I really miss actual seasons *sigh*.
ColtStone:
Aspiring photographers should pay close attention to these photos. This is how it's done.
Quality of light on the subjects, quality of available light, color, direction of light, poses, and composition are a few key points that have masterfully rendered fine portraits with successful photography.
Notice there is no stinking flare, no mustard yellow covering the photos, no tilt, no harsh over processing, and certainly no cliché railroad tracks. This isn't some experiment by a rookie.
The family paid for a pro, and they got one.
WOW! Thank you ColtStone!!! This has to be the nicest thing anyone has said about my work. I truly appreciate your comments. My partner and I make plenty of mistakes... and there is lots of room for improvement even in these photos. But I am very thankful you enjoyed the images.
Thanks again!

I have been waiting for something to really cross my screen that I LOVE.. and this is it!
+1 to the comment above mine from Colt...
Also, people take note to the stopped down background.. makes for SO MUCH MORE impact!! Love it!
- T Thank you very much Travis. Glad you like the shots. Trying to find a nice balance with the ambient light and the flash is a challenge... but.. fun. I think in post I pulled the back down a little... but not much. I did saturate the colors some to give it a little pop. Thanks a million for the kind words.

Thank you for understanding about the location. It is just something we stumbled upon... I wish we had more "looks" in and around the Valley. I get jealous of anyone with 4 seasons. We get Hot and cool as you know. Thanks again for the great comments.

Great stuff.
I love number 3...the colors are right on.
Thanks for sharing your set up too! You are welcom and thank you for the comments.
WOW!!! What can I say... this has been the best response to my/our work. My shooting partner Kristy was a huge help with posing and getting the girls to smile. I couldn't have done it without her.
There is always room for improvement.. I see things in the shots which we need to work on for future sessions... always learning.
Any suggestions/comments are always appreciated. Again... always learning... so... if you see something we can improve on... please let me know.
Thank you all for the wonderful response to this series.
