I have 2 photo sessions that will be on sale at a fundraising auction for a Children Hospital in Seattle. Both are donations of course!
Hopefully next year I will have more money to do some substantial donations.
Great to hear I am in the community of kind hearted people! Good job guys!
I am starting to provide portraits for a charity that works with street children in Thika, Kenya (1 1/2 hours from Nairobi, Kenya). I work with them on my Saturday afternoons (I have to work at my real job Monday - Saturday lunch otherwise I would be working with them a lot more). Please feel free to visit their site and, if possible, donate or sponsor a child: www.actionchildren.org (AFCiC = Action for Children in Conflict.)
The charity is amazing, and is like a big family.
If anyone is ever in the Nairobi area (Hoffer?) feel free to drop me a PM & we could meet up.
All this month we're charging $50 for 20 minute shoots with all proceeds going to the blood:water mission. In studio or on location. It's a ton of work, but definitely worth every ounce of energy. You can read more about it below, and view the first sessions with the 2nd link.

Blood Water Mission is another fantastic organization. I'm wearing my BWM t-shirt right now in fact. Between them and Compassion, they partner with some of my favorite people on earth.
Really think this thread did a lot of good. Hopefully some people that wanted to donate there time have been inspired as well given a few places they might be able to do it.
Really cool to see all the things you guys are passionate about.
This winter I will be doing street photo work to be sold at various establishments in the areas with funds going direct to local shelters/recovery clinics.
not to swipe this thread but my Wife also is involved in TDI (Therapy Dogs International) and brings our Jack Russel to visit children in the Cancer wards of our local hospitals. brings tremendous joy to the kids.
