Good Lord!!! These people are NOT your friends.
Chalk this one up as a loss and move on. SAD SAD SAD .....not for you but for your so-called "friends". One day, if they have one ounce of honor, this will come back to haunt them.

Not that you'd want to, but probably a good idea to not cash that check if you plan to take any legal action....as you would then be taking payment for your services.

Just so everyone knows, I had not contacted them since I got the e-mail and the call cussing me out. Everything they have heard about it is through their families, not me.
