If some of you will be investing in UDMA CF cards for the first time, do yourself a favor and also get a UDMA card reader for the computer side! I use the SanDisk Firewire 800 UDMA CF reader and it is FAST! Sucks the 25MB+ files (5DMkII) off the UDMA card about 3 times faster than my old USB 2.0 CF reader! 45MB/sec vs. 17MB/sec. Same card, different readers. If I fill a 16GB card, that's typically about 600 images. So, let's call it 15GB. Old USB reader would take about 14.7 minutes to suck off those 300 files. The Firewire 800 UDMA reader does it in 5.5 minutes!

I was playing around with this the other day too. I uploaded two 8gb cards in the length of time to upload 1 4gb using USB 2.0! FW800 is great, but now there's an even faster option, the SanDisk Extreme Pro ExpressCard! The two new Sandisks are rated for 60MB/s and 90MB/s!!! That's fast!
I've read the manual too. Mine is on preorder with Amazon.com. I ordered on the first day available, but it's really hard to say where I am on the list. I with I knew

Unfortunately for 15" MBP owners... do not have ExpressCard slots anymore... crummy SD card slot.

Just checked my Amazon.com cart (after purchasing a couple of Sandisk 60MB/s cards), and the status on the 1DIV says, "Shipment 1 of 1: The following item will arrive after December 25, 2009." I was hoping for sooner than later.

That's just what I need - my HP laptop has an ExpressCard slot.
