Very strong image and composition - I have to say I disagree with a previous poster - I like the negative space to the right of the image - there is just enough of a hint of detail.

Not around a lot on this forum anymore, but whenever I click on one of yours, I never know what it will be. Really like this one. May be a tad too little DOF (nose), but who cares.
Thanks Henk !
I did frequent FM less for a while as well. You actually don't have to be here all the time.
Just post a picture once a day !!!! ( takes ya only few minutes ! )
Yes, maybe a tad of more dof would have been better.
But ya know what they say !!! " A centimeter more dof towards the nose, means two centimeter more dof towards the ears !"
Thanks !
Aouch ! Cape Verdean, I was about to "google" but I wasn't sure.
Not sure if you can edit the topic title but I'll keep it in mind for the next portrait, another one of them coming soon !
Framing it, I'd probably use a black frame yap.
And in general I am favouring black frames.
I am about to have a website for (mostly) portraits and tought bout a white layout/background. Explains the use of the white frame. Black frame on white background would not match.
But you make me consider to post a screen view of a white and black "oriëntated" website in order to get comments ( and off course afterwards completely ignoring them) heheh

Great image
Gerry
Thanks Gerry,
I agree with your disagreement !
Yap, if it's ok, one should see some dreads on the right hand side. The more I think about it I'd consider to get a large print of this one, but I'll have to make sure the right part is "lit" well.
