Adorama sells refurbished cameras at those prices because people think they are better for $$$ more. They are USED Cameras. Like at B+S..... Where do they get theirs in the first place...demos and beaten up old ones, send backs etc....Rich
I was in the market for a 5D which I think is a nice camera. After perusing the available 5D's I decided to get a 5DM2 refurb from Adorama. It cost a bit more than the ones going used but it came with a 1 year warranty from Adorama. Waiting for it to arrive to see how it looks. $2399 isn't cheap but roughly $200 more than some used ones and $300 less than new; so I took a chance. With my collection of FF lenses I just went for it. I will post back after I get my 5DM2.

I think they get them from Canon, refurbed by Canon.
At least the EF-S zoom I got at Adorama was refurbed by Canon and I couldn't tell it from new.
I just got my 5DM2 and it looks brand new. Undoubtedly it's not new but it's a good refurb (externally no scars) and everything functions well (stills and video).
