dang....wish I knew about this site when I got married in Scotland 2 years ago. Watching the posts pile up alone would have been worth it . Not to mention getting to pick and choose (although I was quite happy with our 'tog).
Have to admit, if I were ever to do wedding photography I'd be just as willing. Can't wait to see who wins

Alright, fine. I'm not half Italian. I'm 100% Korean, but Italy could use a little kimchi flavor, no?
Yep, they'd call that "cucina raffinata"
Unlike all of these punks here who are somehow claiming some vague connection to Italy, anywhere from half-italian-ness to having an Italian first and last name, to being familiar with the language or some shady claims about having invented pizza...
I'm actually your best bet:
I'm Italian by birth, speak the language, lived there for 21 years, been to Ferrara multiple times (awesome choice for a wedding by the way... especially if you're willing to do a day-after shoot in the early morning with the characteristic Pianura Padana fog) ... but at the same time I've lived much of my adult life in the U.S. so... and I can say it because I *AM* Italian ... you get Italian style, Italian language, Italian knowledge ... but good old american Work Ethic ... which means you won't have to wait over a year for an album (yes that's common ).
Anyway... to make matters better... I have immediate family a few hours away from Ferrara, so if airline tickets can be arranged so that my Second shooter and I can make a little family vacation out of it (at least 5 days on our own including a weekend) I'd be happy to do the work for airfare and hard costs.
May 2011 is so far into the future that by then most of the hot photographers who have replied to you so far will probably be have-beens unworthy of carrying my bags. For all I know you could be getting the deal of the millennium here... immagine someone who booked Ghionis for airfare two years before Ghionis became... you know... Ghionis
Karl,
I'll throw my hat in the ring as well www.richlphotography.com if you look at the honeymoon gallry, those are pictures of Italy that we took during our own honeymoon.
