I'm now considering the tokina 11-16mm, sigma 10-20mm and of course back to the 12-24mm siggy. I'd love to see more shots and see what i've been missing out on! That's if you've got some time to spare posting them shots up
Thanks for posting all the shots so far. They're really making my decision to pick which lens i should get pretty difficult. If you use the sigmas hand held, and the tokina do you stop down a lot?
Here are 2 more, both at 10mm on my D80. I usually shot the 10-20 around f/7-11. The type of shots I used it for most were architecture and landscapes, so I didn't really find much use for larger apertures. In fact, I have the Nikon 14-24/2.8 now and I have yet to really open up the aperture during the few months that I have had it.
Steezus those are 2 great shots! esp. the macaque.
I do plan to move to FX in a year or two, but since wideangle isn't exactly my forte (I haven't used a wide lens for over a year, and the widest was 18mm on DX) I don't mind using the wide on a crop mode on FX. I might get hooked though.
Hey all i've found that my aunt has a 17-35mm sigma somewhere in her house,a decent copy which I might try out over christmas. I'll play around with that first. Thanks for the all pictures, I'll get back to this thread then.
I think my second option would be the tokina 12-24mm cause of the cost.
