Weddingwire did the exact same thing to me. A bride posted slanderous comments, lies and innacuracies in her review. Even called my wife and I names in the review, they still left the review up even after we protested. A letter from our attorney was sent to Timothy Chi at Weddingwire and the review was removed. 1 week later they re-posted the slanderous review with the brides profile removed so it is just annonymous. We have 12 reviews that are 5 star and this 1 review that is 1.7 stars.
Tell me they are not out to cause trouble ? I honestly think Weddingwire enjoys stirring up trouble.
We have innactivated our account. However, FYI. Weddingwire will innactivate your account but the reviews will stay. You cannot remove your company from their site, read the "terms of use" and you will find they own the rights to all reviews. YOU ARE SCREWED !

Bottomline - if you are a vendor read the "terms of use" before signing up with WeddingWire or any review site. Chances are, just like WeddingWire, the "terms of use" is heavily weighed toward WeddingWire.
Several vendors in our area have de-activated their accounts for this reason.
Were you able to remove your listing from weddingwire? I don't know how it stands legally for weddingwire to retain listings for companies that wish to be disassociated. I could not find your listing on weddingwire so was curious if you were successful in this regard?

Even if you don't have an account on WW, a review can still be written on your company......you heard me correctly. So at least being registered allows you to reply to a review.
wow, nightmare story. I think of the old adage: No good deed goes unpunished. In the end never go against your own contract. That policy has served me well. Also, you may surrender some rights you have in a court of law by not following your stated terms of contract. Thanks for a reminder that not everyone has a sense of ethic. As for Wed Wire, won't go near them

I just checked. I must be thinking of one of the other sites I am on. On too many of them. I see a respond and a dispute and highlight the good ones.
