On a table-pod and modified that would actually make an excellent desk lamp. I made a lamp (with shade) out of an antique projector for my movie room.

What lens do you have attached to the front of the A2?
For the flower shot with the A2 - Just some junk I threw together. Parts of a telescopic (collapsable) umbrella tube, two diopters (a #3 and a #4) and the Nikon 20mm AIS reversed and stuffed into the other end - all assembled with high quality masking tape.
For the spider one it what you see in the above photo which is two diopters with a reversed EL Nikkor 63mm taped in front of them. With the extension and the reversed 20mm all I could get in-frame of the spider was one of his eyes. The spider is about 3mm knee to knee so you can envision how small that particular flower was.
Here's a shot of my funky umbrella-tube-lens with a cameo appearance from Mr. Spider:

Another shot of my new Tamron 300 f/2.8. (This time sans hood). I find it kind of funny that the manual for the lens states "we recommend using a 112mm normal filter to protect the front element". Ummm...yeah, I'll get right on that. You know, especially since there's so much chance of getting sticky fingers or such past that hood. (the rear filters are 43mm...I'll stick with those)
I thought I read that Tamron suggested that because the front element is relatively soft and/or expensive LD glass.
