If it is as craptastical as the first, it will put a nail in the coffin for Boda. I raved about it for a few months because the usability is great, then it fell apart. Now, I keep it nearby for roadside emergencies.
meh. first one was aiite. not super impressive. zipper failed after like 2 months of used. waist belt didnt even fit me i guess im too skinny. Now my boda sits in a corner and collects dust. Ima stick with more durable companies, especially for wedding use.
Here ya go
Been looking at this bag for awhile. If this version is more durable as they claim, then I just might finally give it a go. The discount for pre-ordering is tempting...
Key improvements that make them even more ergonomic, refined and durable:
• Molding that will keep the bag more structured and shapely over time
• New fabrics that provide increased durability
• Stronger zippers
• Design enhancements
• New color options for those who want a little fashion
It's kind of alarming that they needed three versions before they decided to build it better and we don't even know if it is better yet. A few of my colleagues use it and it looks like heck with threads and stuff coming apart. In the meantime they've gotten you to spend more money on another version. No thanks, I'll stick with my Think Tank gear which still looks like new.
I bought one last year at Photo Expo from Jim himself. I was impressed with its usability. I used for two weddings last year and after four weddings this year, A)the zipper does not work B)threads coming out everywhere . I was really unimpressed with its durability. I still use it as it makes lens swapping a snap and fits my prime lens system well. Im not jumping to another model though, I think I am going to invest my money into think tank next time. I am heading down to NYC for the expo in two weeks, actually thought about bringing the bag with me to show him and see what Jim says.....

Mannnn, all this negativity is making me rethink this. Hmm, maybe I won't pre-order and wait til reviews come out.

Didn't you sell your previous Boda Bag after 2 months of use?
Yea, I sold it cause I wanted to buy a flash or something - I forget. But yea, it was really nice the way it was laid out. However, I do agree, it had threads and ish coming off of it all over.
