Jim, I am anxious to see your shots from the game Saturday. I have to admit, I don't recall what your normal body is you use for football, but I will be anxious to hear how the 7d holds up Saturday.

Good luck.
Scott, I use two mkIIn's, I plan on throwing the 70-200 on the 7D for most of the game since the end zone is so dim at TCU. I'm going to put it on the 400 for some pre game warmups.
I got a couple of ISO 6400 shots one that has been cropped and NR added and one that is straight out of the camera. First one is cropped and NR added. Second link is to photo right out of camera.
The idea of high ISO is being able to shoot in low light indoors WHERE you dont get that big orb the SUN so to me outdoor shots a 6400 useless unless its near sunset/sunrise make no sense to me

They were taken at 7:02P...Sunset was at 7:10P. Pretty near sunset and more like dusk with all the trees around my house.
Plus these were taken to demonstrate the lack noise at 6400. I seriously doubt that I will be shooting much at all at 6400. More likely will shoot a lot at 3200 if this camera can handle sports, which is my next test.
