Thanks for the links. Great article in the Hopkins link about scrapie. (Mad Cow) You can read it at your own risk, and doesn't require an MD to read it. Might make you a vegetarian, though.

Why throw away 56% of the image circle?
Only because I can't afford a S2 body.
But what about a special Mirex T/S adapter for S2 lenses and so I can reclaim some of that giant image circle for landscape shooting.
Wow I forgot about David Farkas, thank god he got a hold of an M9, his sample photos are much more like what I was expecting. The blues in the skies are just ridiculous!

WOW!! Details are out of this world unreal!!
Canon/Nikon should take notes!!
The detail looks great but I do see some weird watercolor effects in the mid to dark tones from the 100% crop here: Look in the lower right area. Replace XX with //

Leica spoke of lenses with no vignetting, no visible distortion, sharpness across the frame, no CA, no spherical aberrations, no coma, no astigmatism, and usability at any distance and at any aperture. Then, to top it all off, they'd offer beautiful Leica-like rendering as well. These lofty claims seemed too good to be true. Well, after my testing, I can safely say that the claims are all true and there wasn't any exaggeration whatsoever.
And the rendering looks excellent too. If I could afford one (and I most certainly can't) I'd buy one immediately for the ergonomics, the big, bright finder, the sensor & chip, and the incomparable lenses. An amazing camera!

>>To get at the really good bit in the middle, and also (not incidentally) to avoid spending the cubic dollars needed to buy the body? You can bet if it can be done it will be done, and likely reported here. I for one am eager to see the results, to be sure.
