And my wife has promised to bury all my camera gear with me when I drop dead

Are there no Buddhists here? Isn't nothingness the goal?
If you really want to go that far, might as well squat down at your next PGA or football event and try to capture Tiger Woods or the next big pass in the sand using your fingers and hope people walk over to the sandpit to see your art
I bought all of my gear by selling pocket knives I collected as a kid. Those old pocket knives bought a D90, Nikon 80-200 f/2.8, Nikon 50 1.8 and a Promaster 17-50 f/2.8. Then my wife gave me a SB-600 for my birthday. Nothing on credit. Sure I'd love to have a FF body and longer lenses but I should learn to use what I've got first <g>.
