1st off I gotta say is really really nice having you back posting images here again
What's even more amazing is that except the bee eater I've never seen any of these beautiful burds b4!
I know...that says a lot about my avian knowledge
Nailed some stunning images here V...specially the cuckoo hawk and eagle shots!!
Ok I stand correct...the stork is not beautiful..is butt ugly actually
Hi Nello.
Thanks for the comments and I am glad you enjoyed the photos. The stork does actually look like a geezer but there is another species called the painted stork which does not have the "receding hairline" of the geezer...
Those are some wonderful images. I like your framing and the exif info. I find them all very enjoyable as many are firsts to see for me. Of particular interest is the patterning of the chest feathers of the Serpent Eagle as they appear criss-crossed. Now, that white-naped WP is stunning, wow that is beautiful treat!

Thanks Karl. Actually the trip was for checking out the tigers since the conservation situation is so grim. The place is actually not very far from where I was born so it was high time to visit the the two national parks (Kanha and Bandhavgarh NP). I also have a few pictures of the wildlife which I will post shortly.
Turned out that in addition to the tigers, Kanha and to some extent even Bandhavgarh was great for the birds. I was also looking for the Hawk eagle which we did not see, but I need a reason to visit again...
