I see bunch a haters in here ... that is disturbing.
I never said I hate him, if anything I will pray for him and others like him. I think Todd's statement mearly points out that there are a lot of children who are crying because of him.
Wow, that comment about children crying when they see Michael cracked me up. Then I felt a bit dirty for my laughter. But back to the subject of the photo... I think it is a photo that speaks volumes in several different possible directions. It's "voice" makes it a powerful capture regardless of whether the child actually perceives the true context. The reality of the situation is not always the reality of the image's meaning.

I'm kind of assuming the screen content was Photoshopped into the image anyway. Maybe not, but most likely...
It was not. I'm not that good at Photoshop. The news was on, my daughter was having a tantrum. I set her on the ottoman in front of the TV and took a pic.

Well, you got a timely and topical shot, then, so good job. Sorry for assuming it was fake.
i usually stay out of topics like these, but this one really gets me. i loved mike's music. my first tape was thriller and literally played it out on my brown fisher price player.
but i cannot fathom why people forget the fact that he settled a 15 MILLION dollar case where he was accused of touching a boy 'here and here'. hell, murderers in prision even see these types as the lowest of the low. was he found guilty in the court of law? no...but neither was OJ.
sorry guys, but the dude touched a minor (and potentially minorS). his greatness on stage or in the studio cannot erase this for me.

I don't know if he's guilty or innocent. And neither do you. There are a lot of fishy facts on both sides of the case, and the best that anyone can honestly do from the outside is guess. Unfortunately, he was a really strange person, and that fact got him prejudged and condemned from the get go, whether he deserved it or not.
One thing is for sure, and that is, he had a huge effect on a lot of people's lives, and defined an era for many. His life was tragic, and his early passing is sad for many, many people, even if there are others who have judged him worthy of a gravedancing.

Hahha, well at least we've identified the culprit.
Seriously, now I'm feeling bad about starting some shit. But I think a lot of people are having trouble reconciling the artistic genius that MJ was with the freak he became. He was not found guilty, no, but when huge sums of money are involved, folks get a pretty good idea of the reality. I'll listen to Thriller, and to old J5 til the day I die, and I try not to let artists' lives interfere with my appreciation of their art. But it would be pretty hard to convince me that he wasn't a creepy kiddie toucher.
A tragic life and death, for sure, and I suspect he was a very tortured individual. Maybe death was the best thing for him...I don't know. But I'm not personally sad about it.
I like your picture, especially how it has sparked a lot of conversation about this pop idol, to me a truly good picture sparks conversation. On a personal note it's sad that people don't trust their own judicial system in their country especially after he wasn't prosecuted for any of those crimes.
I can also sympathize with Michael Jackson and his surgeries as a minority. If you weren't appealing to the white audience back in the day you were doomed. Look at Jerry Lee Lewis...marries his 13 yr old cousin, inducted in the hall of fame, considered one of the pioneers of rock and roll and he never saw a day in prison, was never even charged for sex with a minor.
This is only my opinion, but if a black man had done that in the day, he would of been murdered. To me a self admitted pervert like Jerry Lee Lewis is what's truly shocking. Perhaps the people that are convinced that Michael was a child molester should focus their attention on people like Jerry Lee Lewis and Roman Polanski, child molesters walking the streets freely in our neighborhood as we speak.
