Good for you for getting out in the wind. I think it payed off as the water spraying off of the fat little geese looks great. Nice and sharp and well exposed. You can really see the "crest", or at least the longer feathers on the back of the head in #1... The things you learn about birds by having big lenses around.
I spent a summer camping on Melville Island and get pretty excited as well as a little nostalgic whenever I hear it mentioned. I only had short lenses with me however I'd love to go back again with something bigger as the bird life was pretty incredible.

Thanks Tim! Keeping the lens steady 90 degrees to the wind was almost laughable at times
They are well fed, that's why they are there. Lots of yummy seaweed.
