Joe, I have to inform you that your last sqirl shot violates the thread rule (17 b) which says that no animal shots are to be posted unless there are flowers in them.
I am so sorry Peter, but it is the spirit of the law that inspired me. In this case, the squirrel Rocky has finished ingesting the rose, so only the bush itself remains. Thus, the picture is symbolic in nature.

Whayne, those are very appealing!
The softness you get from a normal FoV close up is IMO more interesting than a more traditional macro perspective. I wonder how a Zeiss 50 MP would have done here, would it need a tube to get this close, and how would the bokeh come out.
