well, while flower huntin' I came across this Golden Eagle perched on the flower, and since it was a flower became appropo for this thread maybe, if not, please forgive this slight indiscretion.

Thank you, Ernie.....those birds intrude in many of my floral shots.
Incidentally, that is a Common Grackle......the same family as the Ravens, and the first cousin of the southern Boat tailed grackle.
Here is 16-35L MkII in action on tulips, wide open @ 16mm.
Worth seeing what the lens potential is, however, not my first choice for this type of photography.
