Well, this is my best in Virginia so far - it's one of two of this rose today. It's also my best with my new 200 f2L... I was surprised to see a blooming rose after the 24-degree low last night, but there it was. (Man, f2 @ MFD doesn't yield much DOF!)

In the last one, I just vertically dragged the camera during the shot to get an impressionistic feel. First time I've tried that.

it would be nice if Canon could include multiple exposures feature like Nikon does where multiple images can be taken (I think max 10 shots) and average out to a single image (in-camera) -- great for impressionistic style photography.

It's over. Might as well switch to indoor flowers now.
Or reach into the last summer archives.
The peerless 80-200L wide open on 1DsMkII.

Thank you, CP. I regret not helping you more as of late to keep this good thread running. However, I am glad to see Hrow and Mike Reid posting in it again.

BTW, Hrow can you please specify gear you used for your excellent shots.........that is helpful on the gear forum.

No worries, Peter. Agree that this is a good thread, and it would a shame to let it slip.
