Peter, how you manage to focus these - bokeh - you kill us again with your new toy. Beautiful floating flower colors and seem to be fluided away in seconds.
Thank you, Michael, glad you like those.
With very shallow DoF there is indeed a bit of a problem of focus placement for old wobblers like myself , as I am not using a tripod and there is often a bit of breeze too which moves flowers to start with. Therefore, I usually have to fire several shots so that one should hopefully have focus placed where I want it.

Very nice indeed - 5d2 red is different than any Canon DSLR
Thanks (and to Paul too).
This picture was different than many I've worked on. The histogram is all red, practically speaking. I was trying to get full tonal range without blowing color channels, and it's difficult to get a perfect sense of it on my Apple 23" monitor. As I recall, I actually desaturated the picture slightly and tried using in Lab Color for a bit to work in the lightness channel, not disturbing the colors too much further. The other interesting thing is that there is very little in the picture that is in distinct, sharp focus, and that is partly due to it being a rose I believe. It has more of a micro velvet texture.
