Great use of contrasts!!! Makes the dainty colors have more of a pop than a soft wash look...The "right" void gives a not so subtle push also...Very nice !!!

Yeah, really...amazing! Do you have a favorite lens for this work?
MSC, Nothing as such but between 105mm F/2.8 VR (Macro Lens) with 36mm ET, 50mm F/1.8 (Normal) Lens with ET and Lensbaby Composer with Diopters I am able to make these photos. When to use a specific lens depends on magnification needed and what I want to show.
Thanks both of you....those bearded iris shots look great too
The tulip field shots were done around dusk on a field on McLean Road. Canon 1Ds2 with 14L or 17-40L at f22 creating 3 bracketed shots merged later in Enfuse/LR3 and s-curved/cropped etc in PS. The 14L of course had no filter and then 17-40 had a polarizer on since I forgot my ND filter.

a few from the skagit tulip fields
Mike, both of them are great. The 2nd one in particular I really love. The reflection of
the clouds, sky, and tulips is very nice. The angle of the cloud bank echoes the angle
of the tulip field. And finally the pinks in the clouds matches the tulips perfectly. Very
well seen. (Edit) I just noticed the other photographer on the left edge of the pic.
hmm...it would be tough choice to decide if I would clone them out or not.
A couple of daffodil shots from today while it was raining out...
Testing out my new-to-me 5D2 and 24-105. I need to get some ext tubes or something for a bit closer focusing, I really don't want a dedicated macro.
On the two rose, that's their actual colors, very beautiful (in fact I had to go from LR3's "standard" to "faithful" to tone down the red/orange intensity!)
