For the 5D2 specifically, shooting video. 32G's fits > 1,000 images and what, about 100 minutes of video? Sure, the next camera will make 32G's feel like peanuts, but I don't think there's anything to complain about right now. This reminds me of the guy last week who posted on here who wanted to know how to shoot film. Does anyone on here know what a real SLR is anymore?

The one nice thing about film was that you had to know what you were doing! No spray and pray with a 36 shot film cassette The wedding photographers with their Rolleis and Hasselblads had even less

Whoa!! When did they come out with those? I've been carrying a backpack full of 64's for my 1DsIII and slot wear is a real concern for me. This will cut it in half!!!

It's funny that you mention that as I shot a roll of 220 with my Mamiya 645 the other day. I was in "full 6x6 120" mode and frankly was hard-pressed to finish off that roll of 32!!!

At one of the first weddings I shot, a relative of the bride had a Nikon equipped with the long roll adapter. A hundred feet of 35mm film, what, 700+ exposures? He sat at a table throughout the reception, constantly clicking candid portraits with a tele. It convinced me to upgrade to a Pentax 645N with lots of preloaded 220 inserts (30 shots and quick change, good AF). Now I love the capacity of digital, but I have to admit that for present cameras the size of current CF and SD cards seems adequate. Still, it's good that memory capacity has been growing faster than pixel count, bit depth, and fps. When the D30 came out - 3 MP, 3 fps, and most of us shot jpeg - a 256MB CF was pricey. Now appears the 50D - 15MP, ~6.3 fps[?], and many shooting raw - and 8GB cards are cheap. Years ago I spent big bucks on a 1GB card to keep up with my 1D. Now I can spend minor dollars on bigger cards to keep up with my 1DIII. I like the trend!

Did you know they also have ready-load backs for your 4x5?
BTW, you might have an advantage in shooting slot canyons
