WOW... watching the Chargers vs. Steelers and one of the sideline photogs just got run over by Holmes on a punt return as he attempted to switch from his tele to his standard camera. I wish I had a picture, but wow.. he just got wrecked. I hope his gear is ok. I guess that is one of the hazards of the job.
Every time that happens in a football game I cringe...even though I know the guys have insurance and won't really be affected financially. Just hope they are ok though, some of them look like pretty bad hits.
Not a bad hit by my standards but still a glancing bow with a rollover from Holmes loosing his balance after he hit him. Looked like a 400 2.8. Funny that a defensive player could not tackle him but a shooter took him down.
Just goes to show the action is not always on the field of play. Great action off the field though. Great capture.Good Composition. Focus is dead on and so is exposure. Only we could get a chuckle outta this shot.....while at the same time feeling this guys pain.
I gotta thank my lucky stars (knocks on wood) in all the times I've been on the sidelines, college and pro, I've never come close to getting nailed. A few close calls, but I know how to run like a siss...
