Owning neither, if I were in a similar position, I would not even hesitate and get a MK3.

(if i go with the 5D, i'll take the 35L, if 1D than i'll take the new 24L)... Interesting - what logic are you using here? Purely based on image quality, or FL?

They are equivalent focal lengths
