I would wait until the cows come home,
by then the 5Dmk IIXXVIX will be available, but then again, I would still hang out for its replacement, might be better, with upgraded features....

Better autofocus, more FPS, dual card slots, full aperture control in video mode. Was thinking of getting the 5D2, but now I will wait for the 1D Mark 4. My 5D will work fine enough until then.
If they added that to the 5D Canon would have to discontinue their 1Ds line of cameras completely. That's the catch 22.
I can't stand it when people beg for 1D features on a 5D. JUST GET A 1D. And don't complain about not being able to afford the 1DsIII, nothing in life is free.
I would wait to make sure that they have all the bugs worked out of it then buy it or look for a 5D mark I they have had all the bugs out of it for a long time
what do you use now? If it'll last you another 3 years without any complaints, then go ahead and wait. Heck, put some money in the bank today and when the replacement comes out, buy it with interest you earn.
The world is scheduled to end in on 12/21/2012 so we may not even see a 5D MkIII. I would buy now and sell it in early December of 2012 and that way if turns out you can take your money with you, you will be set and have had the camera for three years.
Ask yourself one question: Will this new tool do something I NEED TO DO that my current tools will not do?
Answer 1 - No - Don't buy.
Answer 2a - Yes - Buy if it is the best tool for your photographic needs.
Answer 2b - Yes - but there are even better tools to do what I need - then buy the better tool.
