Does anyone actually read what the OP asked?
Pretty sure he did not enquire about the 1DsMk2, and he said
5D for studio work, out of the 3 cameras you asked about.
Gee maybe he hadn't considered the 1Ds II, thinking it was still obscenely priced or just forgot about it. Other options are always useful to consider.

I use my Mark IIn for everything from in the "studio" to walk around to track side photos.
Great shootin', Harry.
I suppose for studio work the 5D should suffice.
1DMkIIN is a professional grade camera intended for action/sports/PJ type of photography, and it was not aimed specifically at the studio shooter market.
However, I have no qualms about using it for any photography type.....because the technical image quality I get from it is mostly determined by focusing accuracy, capture speed and lens selection........and not by sensor size, nor trifling differences in ISO noise.

Thanks....I had thought about the1Ds 11 but thought they were both more expensive and more likely to have been hammered by pro use ( it does appear that a lot of amateurs have bought 1D 11Ns )..but it has been in my mind and I do watch them on ebay!
I use a 1V and do like the 'pro' spec cameras a lot...but...pretty happy with my 10D (plus grip) as well.....just can't crop as much as I'd like to with the 10D (old MF habit)...

What ISO's are these taken at, Harry?
I'm curious, b/c I am targeting the purchase of a 1D2N sooner than later, and currently shoot a lot of indoor stuff @ 1600 ISO on my 30D.
So, I'd just like to know, for comparison sake, how much better the larger photosites are at 1600/3200 of the 1D2N considering it uses the Digic II.
Dog is ISO 200
Rally Car ISO 250
Model ISO 250
Cathedral ISO 400
I have no complaints about the 1D because it's a tank of a camera for any purpose i use it for. I will say this, I am looking at buying a 5D or 5D Mk II in a few months for "studio" work.
