Computer illiterate people are better off with macs because they are generally more idiot proof. For computer saavy people, PCs give you more flexibility in a number of ways.

those who have used both prefer macs by a long shot.
I have both and use the pc on occassion but the difference is chalk and cheese. This is not a nikon or canon type of difference. The mac is a professional system. windows is a dog of a system that a professional can still use but full of glitches, never ending pop ups and a magnet for viruses. Just a headache by comparison.
Paper specs can look sweet but you actually have to use the thing.
I know those who use windows don't like to hear that but if we are going for the most direct answer then really this is the case.

well said, I completely agree with you
Frustration with vista led me to have a serious look at Mac
but after running thru and talking with friends who are users, I am back
to PC
Cause if you want more control and flexibility to do things your way,
PC is the way to go.
Mac has too many restrictions and will only allow you to do certain things.
But if you are not the control freak and dont know much about computer,
Mac is the greatest thing on earth.
I agree with the Mac fanboys here..........they dont even need "cut and paste"
on the iPHone. Why would they miss any other features ?
However, Mac DOES consistently come out with the latest and best hardware.
( at great prices too )
See how they were the first to offer ALL DDR3 in their product lines and LED screens.
We are now , just beginning to see DELL and Lenovo doing that.
HP is ..........so far off, I dont even look at their product lines.
Sony is out of this world with their pricing.
Mac ultra slim 17in Macbook Pro is also the first in the world at that thickness and price is fantastic too.
Once again, if you are an old hand at PC, its really not worth the trouble to switch.

I don't see why not (apart from legal issues). I'm not a Mac Guy but it has the same processor, chipset, graphics etc as the Macbook Pro.
I've actually picked one of these up and it is truely brilliant with Lightroom.

Yep Leopard has been hacked as long as you have a valid copy I don't see any issue legal or otherwise. It's your license to run the software that you bought legally.
I have both, I was a RABID mac fan and I even sold their products for commission for 2yrs. Then they made the intel switch and then when I needed a new computer I could buy a MBP spend $3k and get a computer with (at the time) a 256mb video card...
Instead I got a dell with 512mb vid card 4gb of ram and spent $800...
