For the purposes of this poll, if you only pull out a camera body on rare occasions for nostalgia - or whatever -
but don't really use it regularly and know that you don't really need it, that qualifies as "don't use".
If, like many of us, you fit more than one of the poll options, please choose the one that is the oldest (in year of manufacture if you bought it used).
If you have a moment to tell us about multiple treasures (such as an "old" DSLR and an old SLR that you value equally), go for it.
Obviously no scientific or marketing merit to this poll, just maybe a little amusement or interest.
Thanks!
To get things rolling: I checked the EOS1/EOS3 box. I have a 1n and a 3, and find it hard to part with them, even though I have to push myself to get even one roll of film through. Also have my D60. When I first realized it had lost almost all its value, I thought about converting to IR. Then the newer bodies improved enough that it didn't seem worthwhile to put IR capability in such a dinosaur. Still use it once in a while, though, and can't bear to part with it.
I have a T90 with 20-30L that I won't sell. I just checked out the T90 and after 9 years since last use, it still works. Good times. I also have my 1N, you never know.
I have the right of first refusal with the current owner of my 1Ds, the ultimate camera.
No, I can't really afford to hang on to bodies that I don't use...athough was tempted by the 1V. Always feel a tiny bit of regret with that one, very tiny. However, I do have an old Nikkormat FT-2 that I keep and use now and again...grandpa's old camera & lenses...nice stuff but the motivation for keeping is different.
I still have my Pentax SLR film cameras, (Only moved to Canon when I went digital).
Will probably end up getting rid of the SFn but will always keep my first, an S1a bought 1966 I think. Still have several screw lenses for it.
Will probably try to sell my 20D when I get my 50D. Did think about keeping it as a backup but now have a 450D for that.
I usually dont sell any of my gear regardless if I use it or not, not sure why I do this, but I have my first dslr D60 and my 2nd 1DmkII that never see use anymore due to my 5D, I'll just keep it all and consider myself an unofficial collector.
i use it as a backup body only, because i'm mainly a portrait photographer (enthusiast), and the 5D2 is fulfilling my needs.
still, it's nice to have another full-sized canon body in case your main body goes tango uniform on you... and the speed might come in useful. sometime.
Just sold an old film EOS 50E: before Christmas I finally made a clean up of items I hadn't used for a long time - somebody else will give them their right purpose again.
I am still keeping two T-90's with 300TL flashes. Why, I don't know. If I had a good offer,Then things would change. There is an F-1, in a bag, with a speed finder, now that one is a real keeper. Sometimes I wish I had held on to my 21/4 graphic.

i voted 1D, although i do use it occasionally (made some money for me couple months ago). recently sold my 1Ds, which i should have kept (real regret). have an EOS 3 which i shoot at least once a month, keeping it for B&W film use (love my 45 tse on it).
i shouldn't have voted for any choice, now that i think more about it.

I mainly shoot with my 5D and 50D. But I have an EOS 3, Elan and Nikon FM3A I rarely use. The FM3A is the last of a large Nikon system from back in the day. I still have a dozen AI Nikkors primes. Not worth selling but made so nice compared to modern AF optics.

I use my 20D as a backup camera and for those loong telephoto shots. When I purchase the 40D I will get rid of it unless of course I decide to make it an IR camera.

My 20D is on long-term loan to my BIL. I have a couple of old Pentax & Contax film SLR's that are worth more sitting on my bookcase than on eBay, and a few others in my "to sell" pile. I have a Mamiya 645 1000S that hasn't seen use in a while (but it's lenses get regular use), and a few odd rangefinders.

I suppose my Pentax ZX-50 would go in that category.
And I think anything digital would be faster to go in the outdated pile than my film cameras. The only reason I haven't been using my Pentax SPs is that the meters on both went out and I haven't wanted to use them with a spot meter. I almost bought a Voightlander VC-II for them, but just don't have that strong a need to use them.
I recently got an EOS 3 and I will be using it quite alot along with my very light Rebel 2000s.

Since I don't collect cameras, I'm pretty good about getting rid of cameras I no longer use. But, recently I did think about keeping my 40D, since it's a perfectly good camera and the prices dropped drastically. I do have a soft spot for previous cameras that I've owned and at times have thought about buying them just to collect. But, it just wouldn't be the same since they weren't the ones I used. I have the same feeling about cars I've owned, but i don't keep them either!
