Ed... awesome stuff. I love it. Absolutely amazing... between you and Mr. Hassas the Bay area has the making for a wedding photography showdown.. (I picture cameras on your sides like six guns and tumbleweeds blowing down the streets)
Thanks for "killing" the flashless weddings. May they go the way of the "all Pink Floyd" and "all Led Zeppelin" receptions I've done in the past!
I've been photographing wedding for almost 20 years. I lost interest when digital hit and the "photo journalistic" style turned into the 3000 image coverage and "I don't use flash" weddings seem to take over.
Found FM a couple of months ago. Saw some of your work. Perused your sight. Followed some of your recommend links...wham!...kissed by a muse. Flash has made a comeback with a vengeance.
My first impression of all the photos was how your style and signature shots stand out.. there is a lot of similarities, yet subtle differences between weddings, just how it should be done-- just the right balance.
Ed, you work continues to be inspiring and educational and your critiques are excellent. I always look for your name in the list of posts. Thanks for your contribution to raising the bar for all of us.
