You could have been in the upper deck with a wide angle lens getting the entire stadium with the huge flag, but that would be like every other National Anthem photo. I've seen it a million times working for the Cleveland Indians.
You went the opposite direction and went under the flag. I love it! It's not the same old thing you would see from 90% of shooters.
Goal post shot is impressive! Shot #1, I'm never sure how to crop a shot like that so it's immediately obvious they are off the ground. I'm draw to the faces first, trying to figure out what they are thinking, then notice the feet. It's sort of an 'ah ha' moment v a 'wow'. Either way, nice stuff. I was shooting a local hockey game next to the local press, took a few shots of a forward coming at the goal, paper photog held the shutter down and emptied the buffer on his Mark III for a single shot. Reminds me of hunting with a machine gun. I guess you always come home with something...
