I really love the bokeh of rokkors (mine is a 50mm f1.2).
I like it when it is smooth and creamy-like.
I also understand that some people don't like it.
Sometimes it is quite strange.
Thanks Andreas and Sundberg!
Unfortunately, our country doesn't have any native reindeer so we have to resort to dressing up our dogs!
I love this lens for its combination of smooth bokeh, sharpness, and Leica-like color, all for a reasonable price considering price of Canon 50 1.2.
It will be interesting seeing Andre's comparison of this lens with the great but pricey Noct Nikkor.

Nice dog shot! Is that a labrador? I got a lab in the beginning of December myself and he has obviously been the main subject for my camera since then. I will post some shots soon
I will certainly test the lenses out and put up some images - but I think Dmitry is further ahead in his testing than me. Dmitry, hurry up! We´re all waiting for your test!
I am still communicating with my seller who is now waiting to have his new paypal account activated. He seems ok... fingers still crossed, but this is the longest and worst experience I have ever had on ebay and for the most expensive item.... Typical.
I have been buying a little bit on the German ebay site lately, and it is much more troublesome and feels much less safe than shopping on the US or British site. Paying directly to bank accounts as most German sellers don´t accept paypal is the biggest worry. But no actual frauds so far....
Yes he is a nine year old black labrador retriever who acts like a puppy still and has aged much better than me. He is a loyal and faithful subject for my camera lens test shots.
Hope your Noct shows up soon in great condition.
BTW, Dmitry posted his 50 and 85 shootout on Cogitech's website.
Check out the link Cogitech posted here on the forum.
