Love the crop on #10. I never would have thought that would work. Nice job.
Thank you, Chris. Actually it wasn't much of a crop. The Eagle was perched on a branch about 30 ft away. Being such a large bird, when it took flight towards me, there was no way to avoid cutting parts of the bird out at this focal length (765mm).
Andy, this series was a joy to view. #2 and #7 were my favorites, but the whole storyboard approach made this post a pleasure from start to finish. Beautifully done.

Andy, I am trying to catch my breath after seeing all this action. I don't know how you pulled all these great shots off. Moments one can only hope to see happen. That amazes me to see the eagle pirate and then the peli going for the catch, those Ospreys just don't get a break out there do they!
Andy, your air show experience shows through here tracking this kind of action, I am impressed my friend, nice series.

Hi Karl,
Appreciate the comment, buddy!
This series is a compilation of over two weeks of idling and waiting and lots of patience. But when there was action, it was furious. You're right. I think my airshow experience might have had something to do with being able to pan and track the fast action. (Imagine keeping the focus point dead center on a jet fighter going 700 mph only 200 ft above you). I would very much like to share some of my favorite airshow shots on this forum although I realize it's not the right place. But think of it... most of the aircraft are named after birds!
Fantastic series, Andy!! The sharpness and colors are exceptional. The BIF of the Osprey in number 5 is PERFECTION! In number 13 you caught a great action moment.

Thank you, David. I'm so glad that you enjoyed the story as well. Cheers!
