Unbelievable that this happens with a new camera - this is very annoying! I just checked mine - fortunately both screws seem to sit tight in place. Thanks for posting this, every 5D MkII user should keep this in mind!

i just checked mine, and both screws were snug, but not tight. i added another 1/8-1/4 turn on each...
