You're not the only one And I wasn't agreeing or disagreeing with you, just chiming in on the conversation. Anyway, the only way I see this lens producing decent bokeh, IMO, is shooting a subject wide open at MFD with the background over 500ft away, and not even then am I convinced it will look good. It is the characteristics I see within the bokeh that determines whether or not its good, and that's in every possible shooting situation--not in just some.

I can't understand all the criticism off this lens, i just a fantastic lens in every way, and
has an amazing bokeh...the only complaint is slightly high contrast, but that is easily fixed
in raw conversion...

It also makes even the Canon L lenses seem like something you get as a surprise
toy when ordering a meal at Mc Donalds... :-)
